In every workplace, workers are exposed to day to day activities involving some kind of workplace health and safety risk, which needs to be identified and managed. These workplace risks apply to a broad range of roles across all industries and require appropriately trained and equipped employees to identify and manage them.
This training course allows you to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence required to identify work health and safety (WHS) hazards and assess and control the risk relating to those identified hazards. It involves contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of risk controls according to legislative and organisational requirements.
The skills in this course are applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State/Territory legislation, Australian/New Zealand standards and industry codes of practice.
